Our History
From Threat to Thrive is a nonprofit organization born from a bold and urgent mission: to transform digital threats into life-saving opportunities for intervention, education, and systemic change.
Founded by Bob Innes, the creator of the now-infamous Rent-A-Hitman website—a legal parody turned real-world crime prevention tool—our organization is rooted in over a decade of experience intercepting online threats, preventing acts of violence, and working directly with law enforcement to save lives.
Our work began with a single website but has grown into a powerful movement. After helping prevent over 170 real-world crimes—including murder-for-hire plots, school shooting threats, and cases of human trafficking—we realized that more needed to be done. From Threat to Thrive was created to scale this impact, broaden the mission, and provide tools to proactively protect individuals and communities.
